Isle of Wight County Development Activity Overview – Abridged for GPCA
The accompanying presentation are select pages from the joint IOW Board of Supervisors and Planning Commission meeting on county development held on 23 October 2020 that are most relevant to Gatling Point. This presentation provides a complete and historical view of current and planned development within the County. While it’s accurate as of the date of the meeting, it does not reflect the current status of the Mallory Point/Scott’s Farm project. As many are aware, there have been several public hearings on the project with the most recent being on 13 October at the Smithfield Center. During this meeting residents had the opportunity to voice concerns to the developer, John Napolitano. Napolitano was to respond during the 10 November meeting. John Napolitano requested a deferral in order for them to completely address the issues raised. It’s anticipated this next meeting will be in the February 2021 timeframe.
